Last week, me and my class along with my teachers made a visit to the historical place Mohenjo Daro. We took permission from my parents and finally made our destination to Mohenjo Daro. I reached school at 7:00 am and was very excited to see my friends and teachers. It was a bright sunny day. We sat in the bus and made our headway to Mohenjo Daro. While in the bus, we had some drinks and snacks because we were feeling quite hungry. Finally we reached to Mohenjo Daro. It was the most ancient site and surprised to see such old and ancient site in my country. We thoroughly visited this site and our teachers elaborated and explained each and every detailing about this site.Many objects were placed in this site, we saw that dancing girl, preist king, pashupati seal and that ancient necklace. We also took pictures along with those objects.
Facts About The Name of Mohenjo-daro:
Our teacher told us that Mohenjo-daro also known by the name of Mound of the Dead is an archeological site. It is in the province of Sindh, Pakistan. It was built around 2600 BCE and one of the largest settlements of the ancient Indus Valley Civilization. It was abandoned in the 19th century BCE and then was not rediscovered until 1922. Its original name is unknown. Mohenjo-daro is located in Larkana District in the middle of the flood plain of this Indus River Valley, The site has a central position between the Indus River and the Ghaggar-Hakra River.
She told us that this is a bronze statuette “Dancing Girl” of 10.5 centimetres and it is 4,500 years old. In 1973, British archaeologist ranked it as his favorite statuette: Another archeologist explained the figure as “a young girl. This statue paved the way two important discoveries, metal blending and entertainment of dancing
We saw this sculpture that was 17.5 centimetres tall. Our teachers told us that it is a bearded man along with an armband, and also a cloak which is decorated with trefoil patterns. The hair is combed towards the back of the heads.The left shoulder has been covered with a cloak and this cloak is decorated with trefoil. The eyes are incised and upper lip is shaved.
We also saw a cross-legged seal surrounded by animals, most of the archaeologists have called this seal as Lord of Animals.
Seven-stranded Mohenjo-daro Necklace:
This Necklace was 4500 years old. It has an S-shaped clasp. It has bronze-metal bead and each and every bead is less than the size of a pepper-seed.
Finally, that time had arrived when we had to pack our bags and had to return to our homes, It was enjoyable trip for me and also an educational trip.

There are so many Historical Places in Lahore which has the historical importance and worthy visiting not only be the international visitors but also the domestic people love to visit such places. Lahore is the city where many government rule before Pakistan as in this part of Sub continent the ruler were Mughal, Sikh and British. most of the Historical Places in Lahore are build in the rule of Mughal as these are our heritage so that is why these building are kept in the same manner as it is build by the Mughal Emperor. Minar-e-Pakistan which is also known as the Tower of Pakistan has immense historical importance in the history of the independence and the establishment of Pakistan. Minar-e-Pakistan is located in the ground which is known as the Minto Park, and it is the same ground where the Lahore Resolution was passed by Mohammad Ali Jinnah in 1940 in which the declaration for a separated homeland for the Muslims of Sub Continent was being made. The place where Minar is being built is the place where Jinnah stood while making the declaration so for that memory a Minar is being built at that same place, the Minar was being built in the tenure of 8 Years starting form 1960 and completing in 1968.
Another very precious and worthy Historical Places in Lahore is the Lahore fort which is located in the inner city which is also known as the Old Lahore. The Fort was built by the Emperor Akbar, which is a living example of old Mughal Empire and their territories. The Lahore fort has its significance of art and creation in which the attraction is the traditional Mughal Empire and their way of living. The fort walls are although very old but are still very much strong and the government does take care of the wear and tear of the building. Lahore fort also have additional features which have made the building further precious and desirable which includes the architectural marvels as Sheesh Mahal.
The very old and traditional mosque which is just beside the Lahore fort is a living example of creative and stunning architecture. The mosque was built in the early 1673 by the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb in Lahore. The mosque was built on a very large scale as it can accommodate almost fifty five thousand people in the prayers which itself is an example of awesome landscape. Badshahi mosque is considered to be one of the largest mosques of Asia.
Lahore Museum is located on Mall Road Lahore and was established on 1894. Another fact about this building is that the structure of the building was designed by the Sir Ganga Ram. This Museum is the largest of all in Pakistan and inside it there are many item from from heritage like weapons, jewellery, and other old things.
Emperor Jahangir Tomb:
Among one of the Historical Places in Lahore Emporror Jahangir Tomb is one of the beautiful and Attractive place to visit. This tomb is build for the Mughal emperor known as Jahangir. This place is located in Shahdara Bagh Lahore.
Shalimar Garden Lahore:
Among the one of the mater piece of Mughal Architecture Shalimar Garden Lahore is also in the list. It is located near Baghbanpura Lahore. This royal garden attract many tourist because of its beauty, Fountains, flowers beds.
Hazuri Bagh is located on Walled City Lahore and was build in 1813 by Maharajah Ranjit Singh. It is in the east of Lahore Fort and west of Badshahi Mosque. The main attraction of the Hazur Bagh is the Baradari in the center of it.
Masjid Wazir Khan:
Among Historical Places in Lahore Masjid Wazir Khan is also in the list. This mosque was build ear 1634-1635 AD. During that time the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan rule europe. Mosque is in the old lahore inner city and could be reached to it easily from delhi Gate of Lahore.
As Name mentioned this tomb is on Nadira Begum known as Anarkali which is lover of Prince Saleem. She was executed in 1599 and after six year Prince order to construct a tomb in 1615 and is located in Islampura Lahore
